Solicitations for Grants and Contracts

All solicitations issued by USAID for work in Haiti will be published on U.S. Federal systems:

Unsolicited Proposals

To submit an Unsolicited Proposal to USAID, please carefully read the requirements for submission on the USAID Business Opportunities webpage (shown above). Unsolicited Proposals are expected to be for new, unique, and innovative activities that would not otherwise be “an advance proposal for a known USAID requirement that can be acquired by competitive methods.”

To submit an unsolicited proposal for a contract, please read the instructions carefully at the above website. Hard copy proposal documents may be sent to:

 U.S. Agency for International Development
Evaluation Division (M/OAA/E), Room 7.08–005
1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
Washington , DC 20523–7803
Attn: Division Chief

To submit an unsolicited proposal for a grant, send applications via email or hard copy to:

U.S. Agency for International Development
Task Team (HTT), 2nd Floor
1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
Washington, DC 20523–7803
Attn: Program Office Team Lead
Email:  htt@usaid.gov

Volunteerism

Volunteer opportunities in disaster settings are extremely rare, and are usually limited to people with prior disaster experience and technical skills (such as health, engineering, etc). For opportunities to volunteer overseas in non-disaster settings, visit Serve.gov. Or read about Volunteers for Prosperity, a volunteer program managed by USAID.

Partnering with Local Organizations

Whenever possible, USAID supports local organizations to implement activities.  The following are examples of both current and past partners:

  • Experts Conseils & Associates (ECA), Pierre Andre Guillame & Associates (PAGS), and Merove-Pierre & Associates are authorized certified public accounting firms providing financial management services to USAID in Haiti.
  • La Fondation Heritage pour Haiti (LFHH – local chapter of Transparancy International) is a local non-governmental organization supporting anti-corruption activities.
  • American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) is a local organization that received USAID funding to implement economic-related activities.
  • Le Groupe Haitien D’Etude du Sarcome de Kaposi et des Infections Opportunistes (GHESKIO) is a local organization that received funding from USAID for health-related activities.

Are you a local organization interested in partnering with USAID ?  See Collaborer avec USAID (french) for additional information.
